UPDATE FOR CLASSES HAPPENING MARCH 9 - 20, 2020. For more recent updates on virtual learning, please visit glasscock.rice.edu/online-learning.

Out of an abundance of caution Rice University has canceled in-person classes from March 9 - 20 with respect to one confirmed case of the COVID19 on campus. Glasscock will not hold face-to-face classes the week of March 9, 2020. Several courses will move immediately to online and others are being evaluated for online migration, postponing or possible cancellation. All existing online courses and satellite locations will be conducted as scheduled.

No one affiliated with the Glasscock School was in contact with this individual or those that remain in self-quarantine, none who have reported symptoms to date. Rice has also confirmed that, based on their investigation, the staff member has not visited the Anderson-Clarke Center or any campus residential colleges or classrooms since returning to Houston from overseas travel.

IN-PERSON CLASSES CANCELED FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 9

All in-person classes Community Learning and Engagement courses from March 9-13 are canceled. In the coming week, the team will be working with instructors to determine a plan of action for their courses, which may include moving some courses online, postponing or canceling some classes.
