Laura A. Frnka-Davis, APR, is the principal of LFD Communications, a woman-owned public relations agency based in Pearland, Texas. She has assisted a wide range of businesses and nonprofits with their communications needs over the last four years, servicing a client roster that includes Make-A-Wish, Teach for America Houston, Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston, Writers in the Schools, and St. Joseph Medical Center. In 2020, she spearheaded the publicity for the opening of a major family-friendly luxury resort north of Houston, which resulted in a Platinum Marcom Award in the category of media relations. Before founding LFD Communications, Ms. Frnka-Davis spent time at some of Houston's well-known nonprofits and businesses, including Texas Childrens Hospital, Pierpont Communications, and LifeGift. She is well-versed in multiple communications disciplines ranging from media relations to PR writing to internal and external communications, including crisis communications. In 2020, she was named the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Houston Chapter Solo Practitioner of the Year. In 2021 and 2022, she received silver Excalibur awards in the category of integrated communications for campaigns associated with the Houston Botanic Garden. She is a member of the PRSA Independent Practitioner Alliance and Solo PR Pros. Ms. Frnka-Davis graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she majored in journalism and minored in marketing.
