Melissa Simon, MSW, CFRE is the chief executive officer at Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos.  Melissa has 30 years of progressively responsible experience in the social service sector, including direct service, resource development/fundraising, finance, operations, volunteer management, and leadership. She holds an MSW degree from the University of Houston and a BS degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. Before receiving her MSW and transitioning into nonprofit management and development, Melissa was a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, working with at-risk youth in alternative schools, probation departments, and locked facilities. Melissa is dedicated to servant leadership, and focuses her time and talents on program planning, fundraising, capacity building, and leadership development for nonprofit organizations and development professionals in the social service sector.
