Rebecca Sharp
BIOGRAPHY

Rebecca Sharp is the Director of the Graduate Liberal Studies programs. She serves as the Glasscock School's liaison to the University for credit programs and accreditation. Ms. Sharp has over 30 years of higher education experience in the areas of academic advising, program management, curriculum development, program evaluation, and grant management. She served as co-chair of the Rice Staff Advisory Committee and was a staff appointee to the University Committee on the Library. Ms. Sharp also is a member of Voices for Rice and was a 2012 Centennial Star recipient. In 2015, she was elected to the Board of the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs (AGLSP) where she served as chair of the AGLSP National Honor Society committee and as a member of the Director’s working group. In 2017, she was elected to the AGLSP Executive Board where she continues to serve as the Board Treasurer. Ms. Sharp holds a B.S. in geography and an M.S. in higher education administration from Texas A&M University. She has worked with the liberal studies programs since inception in 2005.
